10 AM – MOL Opens for Sign Up, Authorizations

Noon 140th Cross and Lily Practice Tourney – Double Elimination, Round Table. Prizes for Cross (Winner) and Lily (Chivalry Prize) awarded. 

3x3 Tourney (Following Cross and Lily):

  • Teams of three

  • Each team has a Captain

  • At the beginning of each round, Captains roll dice to determine who has the choice to send a Challenge or Answer.

  • The Challenging team sends a Champion forward

  • Answering team selects a Champion to oppose them

  • Champions have 3 bouts

  • 1 point per win, 0 points per double kill

  • This repeats twice more until all bouts are resolved

  • A round has a final score of 0-9 for each team

  • The overall tournament is determined by round robin

  • If there is a tie in Team Points at the end of the Tourney, a Sudden Death Round of Bouts will determine the victorious team.

This tournament is open to any fencer who has never won a tournament which was determined by skill. This is a single elimination tournament.

1:00 3 v 3 Champions Tournament:

  • Teams of three

  • Each team has a Captain

  • At the beginning of each round, Captains roll dice to determine who has the choice to send a Challenge or Answer.

(15 minutes after the 3 v 3) Slowly but Surely Tournament:

This tournament is a bearpit. Combatants are eliminated when they receive a thrust to the abdomen, defined as the area of the torso below the ribcage and above the pelvis. The winner is the last fencer who has not been eliminated.

*Archer's Apple Competition:

Hand-made arrows, archery equipment/protection for archers, quivers, etc.  Documentation is required. EZ Doc is acceptable. Any time and culture are acceptable within SCA boundaries.  

 * Display "Halfway Done":

KASF is coming, the Twelve night is behind us.  Bring your halfway through projects to share skills, beauty, and knowledge with others.  

 * Display "Protection against a plague":

Alchemists and Doctors! Bring your research, findings, and experiments that will help the Atlantian populace defeat plagues of all kinds. Base your research on known pandemics pre-XVII century. Documentation is required.  If you would like to submit your entry online, please, do! We will make sure it is shared with the judges and the populace along with those presented in person.

Apple Pie Tournament: (Adults & Youth Competitions)

Whoever collects the most apples for the pie wins! (Spears, Knives & Hawks)

Spears: Do not let the dragon eat your apples.

6 throws with Spears to collect apples. Hitting the dragon loses you apples. Apples are 1 point and can be hit only once.

Knives: Collect the apples while the animals forage among the trees.

3 throws with Knives. If you hit an animal you might have stew, but less apples.

Hawks: Competing with the King and Queen while your forage for the rest of your apples. Hitting the “King/Queen” will lose you two apples for each monarch or four for both.

6 throws with Hawks.

Prizes will be awarded for most apples collected. Chocolate coins will be available for those that miss the apples and try for stew instead.
